Colorful logos from various well-known brands

Have you ever been working on your computer then one thing leads to another and you end up with 15 different tabs across the top of your screen? When you’re quickly scanning to find the tab you’re looking for, what is the first thing to catch your eye? More often than not, you’re scanning to find the logo of the page you’re looking for, whether it be Gmail, YouTube, Amazon, you name it. These logos found to the left of each tab are actually called favicons, and all easy-to-identify websites have a very distinguishable favicon that make them stand out. Today in class, we learned how to design our own favicon and make them more memorable or easy to locate when scanning the screen. We also learned how to insert a logo at the top of our webpage and that the favicon and logo should be related to each other to help people associate them with your brand or purpose.
